Garmisch-Partenkirchen, The Austrian/German Alps & Spain

Join Alpine Adventures for wonderful European skiing as we travel to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany in the beautiful Alps on the German/Austrian border. A former Winter Olympics site, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is Germany's undisputed “Winter Sports Capital” and #1 ski region. With one pass you have access to a dozen areas serviced by both modern and a few rousing traditional lifts, where you’ll discover an exhilarating experience skiing on over 175 miles of trails and slopes for novice, intermediate, and “no fear” experts. You’ll marvel at the incredible Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain. It’s accessed by a wonderful cogwheel train and stunning aerial tram that climb to almost 10,000 feet, giving you the highest and most spectacular glacier skiing in Germany.

This fabulous trip is designed for all levels of skiers. Whether you're an experienced European skier or this is your first visit, you’ll enjoy the variety of slopes and magnificent scenery. Fun and easy groomers, cruisers, glaciers, challenging steeps and deeps, tree skiing, and top to bottoms, Garmisch-Partenkirchen has it all. There is more than just great skiing. Nestled under the mighty Zugspitz, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a larger traditional Bavarian town similar to Kitzbühel that is rich in history and culture with plenty to see and do here and close by. All around is magnificent mountain scenery, dominated by the mighty Zugspitz. There are numerous outdoor adventures such as cross country skiing, paragliding, horse drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, snow hiking and more. Take some time and enjoy the town, or an excursion to Innsbruck or Ludwig's castles. Relax with a coffee or wine along the old cobblestone streets in Partenkirchen. Don’t forget the wonderful culinary delights and of course, the great shopping! Non-skiers are welcome to join us for Garmisch, the post trip to Spain-Seville, Malaga, and Barcelona—or both!

After a week of sensational skiing, you can head home to tell stories of your fantastic adventure, or continue the fun with our optional post-trip to Spain! Enjoy the beauty of Seville, the intrigue of Malaga, and the excitement of Barcelona! Experience the history, the art, and wonderful food, or just relax at a sidewalk cafe and watch the world go by.
